I am going to purchase a new kubota soon to replace my 2710.
Ive been thinking of getting a 2910 but wondered if a 3010 might be a bit better.
Any opinions greatly appreciated.

I was looking at and pricing the 3010 about a month ago here in Texas but none of the dealers have any because Kubota is replacing it with the 3130. I had one dealer quote me a price on a 3130 of 18,995 with FEL and 5' cutter. This was about 2,000 higher than the 3010. If any dealers in your area still have any 3010's you may be able to get a good deal on it since they are being discontinued ....

Going to the 2910 from a 2710 is not much of an upgrade in my opinion. That is a mighty expensive 2 hp increase. ....

My wife finally had the determining factor, "The 2710 doesn't look like a real tractor."

We decided that the 3010 would have a better market for resale if we needed to do that.

Besides, when driven, it just seemed like much more tractor for the money. The 3010 cost us only $1,100 more than the 2710 -- both with front end loaders. ....

SMART WIFE!
I've got a l3010 and just love it.Put it to good use,rub your friends noses with it.:)
I convinced my wife that i now need a bigger garage and have to move a hill to build it.So i have all the tractor time i want. The backhoe (:)loosens up the hill and tree stumps and the FEL moves the dirt piles (heaven on earth).
I figure 150 hrs ought to do it.

Have fun and hang on to that girl. ....

Art,

Just stopped to a local dealer who had a L-3010 sitting out front. Nice tractor. HAd something in it called a GLIDE SHIFT. Real nice tractor For 16,600 with loader and 30 hp. Might be touch big for what I do. I like my B2150 TLB so I guess I'll stick with it till I hit the lottery.
